I am totally HOOKED on them!
Check out www.warriorxfit.com.
This site is free to register with. They post a different workout every day (there are 31 of them). The workout is 20 minutes in length and is based on the Tabata interval principle (20 seconds fast/high intensity followed by a 10 second rest period).
The workouts consist of 6 exercises, 3 are just body weight and the other 3 use a resistance tube. You don't need any other equipment (except maybe a mat for floorwork). They post a video demonstration of the day's workout. If you want to see more info on a particular exercise, you can click on that exercise and it will take you to another video demonstrating just that one exercise (proper form, how to count your reps, etc.).
You do 6 rounds of exercise #1 (20 seconds fast, as many reps as you can) followed by a 10 second rest. You must count and keep track of your reps for each interval. After you've done 6 rounds of exercise #1, you take a 40-second break and move on to exercise #2 and so on. The entire workout takes only 20 minutes and you WILL be a sweaty, dripping mess at the end! :o)
I created a simple printed spreadsheet to track my reps of each exercise and I just total it all up at the end. After you've totaled up all of your reps for each exercise, you log on to the site and enter you totals.
When you register, you start out as a "white belt" level. Each workout is considered a "fight" and you must win 10 "fights" in order to progress to the next level (orange belt). As you progress, the required minimum number of reps increases.
This workout is that it is based on martial arts. Some of the exercises incorporate punching and kicking, but not all. You don't need to be in martial arts to do it. The virtual 'belt' achievement is a pretty good motivator!
This is the best free ass-kicking you can get!
I just wanted to share this, in case anyone else might want to try it.
